Overview

Kairos is a hard red winter wheat offered by Highland Specialty Grains Inc. Kairos is adapted to the irrigated acres of the Columbia Basin of Washington State. Kairos has excellent yield, similar to LCS Jet. Kairos is 1-2 inches shorter than LCS Jet and 3-5 inches shorter than Keldin. Kairos is also approximately 5 days earlier heading than both LCS Jet and Keldin. Variants and Frequency: Phenotypic Variant(s): Up to 18/10,000 tall plants, 1/1,000 awnless and awnletted plants, and 1/1,000 plants with less glaucosity on the spike and stem. Seed Variant (s): up to 0.5% white seed.
